Emerging Technology

A new emerging technology is the Flow. The Flow is a paintbrush with real bristles that can be used on touchscreens. Touchscreens included are an iPad, iPod, iPhone, and any Android phone or tablet. With the Flow you can paint a picture without the mess of actual paint. You do, however, have to have one of the devices that supports the Flow. If schools funded and bought the Flow, and devices that supported it, the way teachers taught painting would be changed.

Teachers would be able to demonstrate painting techniques without using supplies. Also in general the painting supplies cost would go down. The different colors of paint, and other supplies would not have to be bought. Instead students would draw their paintings on touchscreens. Of course, there are some situations where students still need to paint physical items to get the feel. However, I feel that in the future there is going to be curriculum created that focuses around using touchscreens for painting. Until that day, traditional painting will continue. Take a look at it! 1. You never have to buy paint again! This reminds me of when laser printers came out!
